It's going to be a long hot summer

Here we are at the end of June and this time of the year you feel like well this is summer I can make it. Then about the end of July, you feel this is summer I think I've died. At the end of August, you think it's almost over and then the hurricanes start. Florida's not like living anywhere else in the world it's not only hot the humidity can actually stick to you. I always feel like I'm out of breath and everything hurts and it's just because you can't move.
I watch tourist sucking air thinking why the hell did I do this. But they always seem to come back.
Everyday day in and day out it is 95 degrees with a 100% humidity. Then about three every afternoon it rains? Not just rains; we're talking thunder that shakes the buildings, lightning that kills people and rain coming in sideways that stings when it hits your skin. Sometimes it can last 15 minutes and sometimes it can last an hour but when you're caught the middle of the parking lot it seems like a week.
It's for these reasons that Floridians treat June July August and most of September the same way Northerners treat January February and most of March. It is our winter it is a time when we catch up on the movies, take our motorcycles apart and fix things in the house. We just don't go outside unless it is absolutely necessary. If we do it is things like going to the mall or any place inside with air air-conditioning.
I do like going to the parks this time of year because it's always fun to watch tourist, they actually glisten and glow. Well, we only have 3 more months and we can live like humans again.
