A Great Day

This past Sunday We made the trip to the Villages in Lady Lake Florida to the vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin . We had to park about 2 miles away from the event and walk in, we did this because of the more than two hour wait for the bus. After a nice fence climb and a short run across the golf course we had a long hot walk.
Once there we found a bathroom and bought some t-shirts, we worked our way thru the crowd. I’ve seen two president and several candidates in the past but this was the most people at a rally in my history. The Fire Marshal estimated 60 thousand plus but the local media called it around 45 thousand. We never found the end of the line to get thru Secret Service. I had use my skill as a asshole to get us in.
To the credit of the organizers their were giant TV’s all thru the square, even if you couldn’t get in the square you could still see Palin speak. I braved the crowd and heat to get some pictures of the whole Palin family. The Kids come out first and the whole place went nuts. Mrs. Palin and the First Dude came out to a mad house. It was one of the most energized political rally’s I have ever seen. Plain’s speech was biting and on point.
After the rally we worked our way thru crowd and started the long walk back to the car. About a mile into the trek a kind soul gave us a ride on her golf cart cutting about a hour off the time. I was exhausted, so was the rest of the party. It was a great experience and well worth all the and crowd.
